Move Your Craft CMS Site Onto WordPress
Craft is good software, but a small talent pool, recurring licence and plugin fees, and editors who already know WordPress make it hard to live with. We rebuild your Craft site faithfully on WordPress, with your field model mapped across and the code handed over as yours.

Why Migrate With Us
Seven years of custom WordPress builds, done in-house by a UK team, so your Craft site is remodelled properly rather than approximated, with the field structure kept clean and the code handed over as yours.
A Faithful Rebuild
We reproduce your Craft site as a custom WordPress theme, so visitors see the same site. The change is underneath, on a platform your team and the wider market actually know.
Your Field Model Carried Across
Entries, Matrix content, Categories and Globals are mapped to Posts, ACF or Gutenberg blocks, taxonomies and options pages, so editing stays as structured as it was in Craft.
A Far Larger Talent Pool
WordPress developers are everywhere and plugins cover almost anything. You stop hunting for scarce Craft specialists and stop paying a premium to keep the site maintained.
Lower Long-Term Cost
No Craft Pro licence and no per-plugin fees to renew every year. The running cost of the site drops, and what you spend goes on the site rather than on licences.
Nothing Lost in the Move
Content, assets, users, Craft Commerce stores and integrations are migrated and wired up, with URLs preserved and redirects in place so indexed pages keep ranking.
You Own the Code
The theme and any custom code are handed over documented, on hosting you control, with no licences tying you to us and no subscription to keep your own site online.
The Stack We Move You Onto

Craft CMS to WordPress FAQs
Migrating a Craft CMS Site to WordPress
Most people arrive at this page with the same situation: a perfectly good Craft site that has become awkward to staff and expensive to keep licensed. Here is what the migration actually involves and what you end up with.
Why teams outgrow Craft CMS
Craft CMS, built by Pixel & Tonic, is a genuinely good platform. It has a clean, developer-focused architecture, Twig templating, and a structured content model of Entries, Sections, Matrix fields, Categories, Globals and Assets. Teams rarely leave because the software disappoints them. They leave because of what surrounds it.
The Craft Pro licence and many plugins carry recurring fees that renew every year. The developer and plugin ecosystem is a fraction of the size of WordPress, so Craft specialists are harder to find and command a premium, and an agency that inherited a Craft build can struggle to find anyone to maintain it. Meanwhile in-house marketers almost always know WordPress already. None of that is a criticism of Craft, it is simply the running cost of a smaller ecosystem.
Our wider WordPress development agency work is built around proper, ownable builds on a platform you can staff easily, and a Craft migration is one route into it.
Rebuilding the Twig templates and field model
We take your existing design and reproduce it as a custom WordPress theme, rather than reaching for a commercial theme or a page builder. A page builder would only recreate the lock-in you are leaving, storing your layout in a proprietary format that is painful to move again later. Your Twig templates are rebuilt as clean PHP and block templates that do only what your site needs.
Mapping the field model is the part that keeps editing clean. Matrix and Neo flexible content becomes ACF Flexible Content or Gutenberg blocks, Globals become options pages, and the whole admin is shaped around the fields your team will actually use. The result looks like your Craft site to a visitor and stays just as structured for the people managing it, handled as part of the same web design and development discipline.
Migrating entries, assets, the store and integrations
A migration is only worth doing if nothing is lost in it. Entries are exported through Craft's Feed Me, its elements API or directly from the database, then imported as Posts and custom post types. Categories and Tags become taxonomies, Assets move into the Media Library, and users and roles carry across. Where the Craft build relied on a third-party service, we rebuild that connection properly through our API integration work rather than leaving it tied to the old site.
Craft Commerce stores move to WooCommerce, with products, orders and customers mapped across and gateways reconfigured. Occasionally a Craft project is closer to an application than a website, with accounts, permissions and workflows at its core. That is portal and platform development, which we build on Laravel, and we will tell you when a project has crossed that line rather than forcing it onto WordPress. Agencies can have all of this delivered under their own brand through our white label WordPress development.
Not sure what your Craft site needs?
Tell us about the build, even roughly. We will tell you plainly what migrating it would take and roughly what it would cost, with no sales pitch attached.
SEO, performance and ownership
Preserving the URL structure is central to a Craft migration, because a site that has been live has indexed pages to protect. We keep the existing URLs where we can and put redirects in place where we cannot, so search engines find the same content at the same addresses and ranking is not lost in the move. Clean headings, metadata and a lean build keep performance strong, and where speed needs pushing further our WordPress speed optimisation work carries on from there.
Ownership and cost are the other half of it. At handover the theme, the code and the site are yours, documented, on hosting you control, with no Craft Pro licence and no per-plugin fees to renew. Our WordPress support retainers are available if you would rather we kept it updated and monitored, and if you want to talk it through first you can always get in touch. Either way, keeping your own site online never depends on a licence again.
