Move Off Drupal and Onto WordPress
Drupal is powerful, but it is expensive to maintain and increasingly hard to staff, and Drupal 7 reaching end of life has forced the question for many teams. We migrate your Drupal site to WordPress with the content model rebuilt faithfully, nothing lost, SEO preserved, and the code handed over as yours.

Why Migrate With Us
Seven years of custom WordPress builds, done in-house by a UK team, so your Drupal content model is rebuilt properly rather than flattened, your data comes across intact, and you own the result.
Your Content Model, Rebuilt Faithfully
Nodes and content types become Posts and custom post types with ACF fields, and taxonomy vocabularies become WordPress taxonomies, so the structure your editors know is kept.
Nothing Lost in the Move
Every node, field, file and user is carried across and reconciled against the Drupal original, so a site with years of content comes through complete rather than approximated.
SEO Kept Intact
URL aliases are preserved with redirects and metadata carries over, so the organic visibility you have built up over years is not thrown away in the migration.
Far Cheaper to Run
No more major-version upgrade churn and no scarce, pricey Drupal specialists on call. WordPress is cheaper to host, maintain and staff for a content or marketing site.
Easier for Your Team
Non-technical editors find WordPress far simpler than Drupal. Publishing, editing and adding pages stop needing a developer for routine changes.
You Own the Code
The theme and any custom code are handed over documented, on hosting of your choice, with no licences tying you to us and no platform lock-in.

Drupal to WordPress FAQs
Migrating a Drupal Site to WordPress
Most people arrive at this page in the same position: a Drupal site that works but costs too much to keep, often brought to a head by Drupal 7 end of life. Here is what the migration actually involves and what you end up with.
Why organisations leave Drupal
Drupal is a genuinely capable, enterprise-leaning CMS, and there is nothing wrong with it as technology. The reasons teams move are practical. It is expensive to host and maintain, skilled Drupal developers are scarcer and more costly than WordPress developers, and every major version, Drupal 9 to 10 to 11, brings an upgrade that has to be budgeted for whether or not the site needs changing. For a content or marketing site, that is a lot of engineering overhead for what is, in the end, pages of content.
Drupal 7 reaching end of life in January 2025 has turned a slow drift into an urgent decision for a lot of organisations, because staying put now means running without security updates. Faced with paying to upgrade Drupal or moving to something cheaper to run, many choose WordPress. Our wider WordPress development agency work is built around exactly this kind of ownable, lower-cost build, and a Drupal migration is one route into it.
Mapping the content model into WordPress
The heart of a Drupal migration is the content model, and getting it right is what separates a clean move from a messy one. In Drupal your content lives as nodes of defined content types, each with its own fields, organised with taxonomy vocabularies and surfaced through Views. We map that structure onto WordPress rather than forcing your content into a generic blog layout.
Content types become custom post types, their fields become ACF fields, and taxonomy vocabularies become WordPress taxonomies, so the shape your editors already understand is kept. Views are rebuilt as native WordPress queries or ACF-driven templates, and blocks and menus are reconstructed to match. The result looks and behaves like your site, built properly as part of the same web design and development discipline, rather than a rough approximation of it.
Migrating content, media, users and multilingual with data integrity
A migration is only worth doing if nothing is lost, and on a large or legacy Drupal site that takes real care. We move content with established tooling such as FG Drupal to WordPress, or with custom scripts reading the Drupal database directly when the site needs more precise mapping, and we reconcile the result against the original so nothing slips through the gaps. Files move into the Media Library, and users and roles carry across so your team keeps its access.
Multilingual content is rebuilt with WPML or Polylang, keeping translations and language URLs intact. Where your Drupal site talks to other systems, those connections are rebuilt properly through our API integration work rather than left dangling. And if it turns out your Drupal build is really a web application, with logins, dashboards and workflows at its core, we will say so plainly, because that is portal and platform development and we build it on Laravel rather than bending WordPress to fit.
Not sure what your site needs?
Send us your Drupal site, even if it is a sprawling legacy build. We will tell you plainly what migrating it would take and roughly what it would cost, with no sales pitch attached.
SEO redirects, performance and ownership
Protecting your search visibility is central to the migration, not something bolted on at the end. We preserve your Drupal URL aliases and put redirects in place so every indexed page still resolves, carry metadata and headings across, and keep the build lean so pages load quickly. Where performance needs pushing further, our WordPress speed optimisation work carries on from there, and ongoing care is available through our WordPress support retainers if you would rather we kept the site updated than handle it in-house.
Ownership is the other half of it. At handover the theme, the code and the site are yours, documented, on hosting you control, with no major-version upgrade waiting around the corner and no platform lock-in. We also do this work under other agencies' brands through our white label WordPress development service, so if you are a studio with a client stuck on ageing Drupal, we can handle the migration invisibly. Either way, get in touch and we will tell you honestly what the move involves.
