Converting a Lovable Site to WordPress
Most people arrive at this page with the same situation: a Lovable build that did its job as a prototype, and a growing sense that it cannot be the long-term site. Here is what the conversion actually involves and what you end up with.
Why a Lovable prototype outgrows itself
Lovable, sometimes spelled Loveable, is an AI builder that turns a description into a working React front end in minutes. That speed is genuinely useful for validating an idea, showing an investor, or getting a landing page up before a launch. What it produces, though, is a single-page application rather than a content site, and that is where the friction starts once the prototype has to earn its keep.
There is no admin to log into, so every change goes back through the tool. The pages are rendered in the browser by JavaScript, which is exactly what search engines find hardest to index well. And the whole thing lives on Lovable's platform on a subscription, rather than as code you hold. None of that is a criticism of Lovable, it is simply the difference between a prototype and a production website.

Rebuilding the design as a custom theme
We take the design you already have and reproduce it as a custom WordPress theme, rather than reaching for a commercial theme or a page builder. A page builder would only recreate the lock-in you are trying to leave, storing your layout in a proprietary format that is painful to move again later.
A custom theme contains only what your site needs, which keeps it fast and clean, and exposes only the fields your team will actually edit, which keeps it simple to run. The result looks like your Lovable site to a visitor, and behaves like a proper WordPress site to the people managing it. If the design needs a little adaptation to work as an editable template rather than a fixed prototype, we handle that as part of the same web design and development discipline.
Keeping the content, forms and integrations
A conversion is only worth doing if nothing is lost in it. Copy, images and page structure carry across into WordPress. Forms are rebuilt so submissions reach you reliably. And where the Lovable build had a backend behind it, usually a Supabase database or a third-party API, we rebuild that connection properly through our API integration work rather than leaving it tied to the prototype.
Where a Lovable project turns out to be closer to an application than a website, with accounts, permissions and workflows at its core, WordPress may not be the right home for it. That is portal and platform development, which we build on Laravel, and we will tell you when a project has crossed that line rather than forcing it onto WordPress.

Moving off a JavaScript app onto server-rendered WordPress pages is, on its own, one of the bigger SEO improvements available to a Lovable site, because the content becomes something search engines can read directly. We set up clean URLs, headings and metadata, put redirects in place so nothing that was already indexed is lost, and keep the build lean so it loads quickly.
