Move Your Strapi Project Onto WordPress
Strapi is good software, but a self-hosted Node stack, breaking version upgrades and two codebases to maintain make it expensive to live with. We fold your API and front end into one editor-friendly WordPress site, your content model mapped across and the code handed over as yours.

Why Migrate With Us
Seven years of custom WordPress builds, done in-house by a UK team, so your Strapi project is remodelled properly rather than approximated, the content model kept clean and the two systems consolidated into one you can actually staff.
One System, Not Two
We collapse the Strapi API and its separate front end into a single WordPress site, so there is one codebase to run, update and reason about instead of two moving in step.
Your Content Model Carried Across
Content Types, Components and Dynamic Zones are mapped to custom post types, ACF Flexible Content or Gutenberg blocks, so editing stays as structured as it was in Strapi.
Editor-Friendly Admin
Editors get a familiar admin with proper preview, rather than a headless workflow where the content and the live page never quite line up.
Predictable Hosting
No Node server, database and front end to patch, scale and back up separately. WordPress runs on ordinary managed hosting your team already understands.
No More Breaking Upgrades
You leave behind Strapi's v3 to v4 to v5 upgrade treadmill, where each major version is a project in itself, for a platform that updates far more gently.
You Own the Code
The theme and any custom code are handed over documented, on hosting you control, with no licences tying you to us and no subscription to keep your own site online.
The Stack We Move You Onto
A custom WordPress build at the core, with ACF or Gutenberg handling the flexible content your Components and Dynamic Zones used to, and your integrations rebuilt against real APIs. Where a decoupled front end genuinely needs to stay, we keep WordPress headless over REST or WPGraphQL, and where a project is really an application we will tell you and build it on Laravel instead.

Strapi to WordPress FAQs
Migrating a Strapi Project to WordPress
Most people arrive at this page with the same situation: a Strapi build that works, but that has quietly become two systems to run and a server to babysit. Here is what the migration actually involves and what you end up with.
Why the self-hosted headless model becomes a burden
Strapi is a well-made open-source headless CMS built on Node.js. It models content as Content Types, with Components and Dynamic Zones for flexible layouts, a media library, and roles and permissions, and it serves all of that over REST and GraphQL to a separate decoupled front end, commonly React, Next.js or Vue. As a piece of software it is good, so teams rarely leave because it disappoints them.
They leave because self-hosting it is real work. You are running a Node server, a database, security patching, scaling and backups before you publish anything, each major version upgrade is a breaking change that eats developer time, and you are maintaining two codebases at once. For what is often a content site, the running cost in hosting and developer hours is simply high. Our WordPress development agency work is built around ownable builds on a platform you can staff and host easily, and a Strapi migration is one route into it.
Mapping Content Types, Components and Dynamic Zones
We take your existing front end and reproduce it as a custom WordPress theme, rather than reaching for a commercial theme or a page builder. A page builder would only recreate the lock-in you are leaving, storing your layout in a proprietary format that is painful to move again later. Your front end is rebuilt as clean PHP and block templates that do only what your site needs.
Mapping the content model is what keeps editing clean. Content Types become custom post types with ACF, Components and Dynamic Zones become ACF Flexible Content or Gutenberg blocks, relations become post relationships, and the media library moves into the WordPress Media Library. The admin is shaped around the fields your team will actually use, so the result looks like your Strapi site to a visitor and stays just as structured for the people managing it, handled as part of the same web design and development discipline.
Consolidating to one system, or keeping WordPress headless
The usual win is consolidation. We fold the Strapi API and the separate front end into a single WordPress site, so there is one codebase to run, update and reason about rather than two systems moving in step. That is where the maintenance saving really comes from, and for most content sites it is the right call.
Sometimes a decoupled front end genuinely needs to stay, for instance an established app you are not ready to retire. In that case we keep WordPress headless and serve content over the REST API or WPGraphQL, so you keep your front end but drop the Strapi hosting and upgrade burden. Where an integration sits behind any of this we rebuild it properly through our API integration work, and where a project is really an application rather than a site, with accounts, permissions and workflows at its core, that is portal and platform development, which we build on Laravel. We will tell you honestly which of these fits rather than defaulting to one.
Not sure what your Strapi project needs?
Tell us about the build, even roughly. We will tell you plainly what migrating it would take and roughly what it would cost, with no sales pitch attached.
Migration, ownership and ongoing support
A migration is only worth doing if nothing is lost in it. We pull your content out of Strapi over its REST or GraphQL API or directly from the database, import it into the mapped WordPress model, and preserve the URL structure so indexed pages keep ranking, with redirects where an address has to change. Clean headings, metadata and a lean build keep performance strong, and where speed needs pushing further our WordPress speed optimisation work carries on from there.
Ownership and cost are the other half of it. At handover the theme, the code and the site are yours, documented, on predictable hosting you control, with no self-hosted Node stack to babysit. Our WordPress support retainers are available if you would rather we kept it updated and monitored, agencies can have all of this delivered under their own brand through our white label WordPress development, and if you want to talk it through first you can always get in touch.
